Sequoia TreesSequoia National Park is most famous for there tall, mighty, Sequoia Trees.
These trees can reach up to 295+ feet tall. Sequoia trees are one of the tallest trees in the world. Sequoia Trees are also known as the Coastal redwood and the California redwood. It is a redwood evergreen that originally originated from along the California coast and southwestern Oregon. Sequoia Trees can live up to around 2,200 years (its so tall because it has all this time to keep growing!) Sequoia Tree timber is mostly used for construction of trestles and rail road ties. |
Crystal CaveCrystal cave is one of the other 240 caves located in Sequoia National Park. Crystal Cave is a treasure-cavern made up of icicle-like stalactites. Crystal Cave is located about a 40 minutes away when driving south of Wuksachi Lodge, The Cave is only opened and available for exploration during the summer months. The cave is almost always at a constant temperature of 48* F. Crystal Cave was awarded #14 out of 28 attractions.

Moro RockOne of the many things to do in Sequoia National Park is rock climbing. Rock climbing is something that very few National Parks allow. In quality, The Moro Rock is very similar to the Yosemite. The Moro Rock is a granite dome located just off the erals Highway near Giant Forest. You are able to go hike in this rock on any given day. From the very top of the rock, you can see a spectacular view of the western part of the park.
